Adriatic Wedding - Kayan & James (by Deneemotion HD Videography)
2 July 2011, Hvar, Croatia
Here is our second destination wedding! Last year we filmed in California, and now on the Dalmatian islands!
The island of Hvar was the perfect backdrop for James and Kayan’s destination wedding in Croatia.
For the Canadian couple living in London, welcoming sixty of their closest friends and family from
around the globe to a fun-filled weekend along the sunny Adriatic was bliss. It was truly an intimate affair with a strong personal touch that could be felt in the details:
from close friends officiating and djing the wedding, to heartfelt speeches and handwritten menus,
to the couple’s ‘last dance’. Oh, and the party was absolutely crazy!
All in all, Dalmatian Coast in Croatia is amazing, not overcrowded with tourists (in July) yet very cozy and ancient in modern way :)

A little bit about Amanda + Jacob…
If there are two words to describe Amanda & Jacob it would have to be fun and inspiring! It was clearly evident that these two were meant for each other. We were lucky enough to be welcomed into the inner circle on their very emotional and special day. After spending a day with them we quickly understood the passion they have for life and each other. The path they traveled that eventually led them to find each other is a story everyone should have the privilege to hear. Amanda & Jacob, you inspired us from the second we showed up at your door to the emotional sparkler lit first dance. You encouraged us to find the story in your day, and you were gracious enough to share it with us. This is the story of Amanda + Jacob….
A little bit about the Short Feature…
We are very excited to post this wedding feature of Amanda & Jacob for a number a reasons. First, a little bit of backstory to set the stage. Amanda contacted us to see if we could film her wedding. We met with her (as we do with all our clients) at our favorite coffee shop to see what her day was going to look like and catch her vision for the day.
Being in the music industry and creative world, Amanda was open to hearing about a product we were wanting to test pilot and we thought she would appreciate. We had recently challenged ourselves to create more story driven products for our clients and this was the perfect opportunity to “try out” this concept. Needless to say, we presented her with the idea and she was thrilled about it. Instead of shooting and editing a full linear ceremony & reception with speeches, we agreed to shoot and create a very short film/story instead. The product would contain a Short Film Feature, Behind the Scenes Footage, and a Trailer. The film you see here is the Short Film Feature portion…
We are eagerly awaiting feedback to see if this is something that more couples would like and are interested in! Please let us know what you think, it’s something that confirms we are in the right direction!

Terry & Aneta [Calgary Wedding Videography] (by SNAP Weddings) Terry & Aneta had one of the warmest days of the year for their beautiful fall wedding. They incorporated some Polish traditions into their ceremony and reception that made their wedding even more unique and memorable. We had a lot of fun out in the country capturing their special day. Thanks guys! We wish you all the best. Kevin & Ashley View blog post snapblog.ca/2011/02/terry-aneta-calgary-wedding-videography.html

Mick + Rupeela | EPIC Sikh Wedding | Vancouver Wedding Videography (by Capture the Moment Media)
First: Turn up your speakers. Second: Hit the lights. Third: Sit back and watch what was truly an amazing journey. Epic. Defined as a long poetic composition, usually centered upon a hero, in which a series of great achievements or events is narrated in elevated style. In our dictionary, this would be simply put as Mick and Rupeela. Sikh Weddings are something we always look forward to. With so many traditions, colors, and emotions it is an amazing event to be a part of and we can never wait to look back on the footage we have captured. Of course, we can’t forget about the unbelievable food too! With such an epic story to be told, we wanted to find a way that we could bring that same emotion and feeling. With every epic story comes an epic song. Grow Till Tall - By Jonsi does exactly that. The song stretches out, taking its time to build up as we watch so many events unfold, leading us to the point where it gets so emotional it is hard to hold back the tears. The story lead us to the final day where we actually got a little emotional ourselves as we watched the departure of Doli take place. We could go on to write an entire story here, but instead we will let the video show you this. This was the first time we worked with Pardeep Singh and he was amazing! His photographs are stunning, (such as the one he gave us for this movie poster). Check out the photos from their wedding on his website when you get a chance. Finally, not only a big thank you to Mick and Rupeela for bringing us on their journey, but also to the family and friends who were so helpful along the way.
